Final Video Story

For my final video story there were many things I wanted to build off of from my draft to be successful for the final. For my video draft I collected many videos which revolved around my semester topic, fashion. I went to the mall and filmed lots of the clothes and areas I thought were styled well so they would be appealing to the eye in my video. Many of the tutorials from premiere helped me in editing my video and audio story. There were parts where I had to open the effect control panel for certain videos and change the scale and rotation of a few of my videos, so the tutorials benefitted me a lot. They also benefitted me in fade in and outs and overall adding cool affects in the process of editing.

The first change I made for my final story was incorporating the actual story and audio footage. My draft before was just the videos I collected with some music and context about fashion playing in the background. I liked the idea of having music playing in my video, so for my final I found music with no vocals so that I could record my own audio over it. For the audio story portion, I talked about fashion in the context of my semester topic and tried to pair the videos with audio that followed along. I think this significantly improved my draft, because my draft didn’t tell a story or serve a purpose, whereas now it does. I also made changes in the speeds of my videos, so they were less shaky and clearer to the audience.

Overall, after making those changes and incorporating those new ideas into my video I’m much happed with the final product. Now my video has effects, an audio story, and music to pull my viewers in which is significantly more appealing than before.
